The appaloosa is an American breed of horse, developed by the Nez Perce Indian tribe. The appaloosa is most commonly recognised by its spotty patterning. Spotty horses have been part of our history for thousands of years, but the appaloosa is the most famous spotted horse. Another unique thing about the appaloosa is that they will normally have striped hooves and will sometimes have white iris's. Their coat can come in five specific patterns: Blanket, snowflake, leopard, marble, and frost.
